“Tears Me In Two” – The Stems

Groovy Tuesday. Garage rock. Australia. 1985. The Stems. Tears Me In Two.

Produced by Rob Younger of Radio Birdman (another rockin’ Australian band whom we’ll see on this site… eventually).

The Stems are back together and touring the world, though unless (if you’re in the States) you caught them at this year’s SXSW, or at Maxwell’s in Hoboken, NJ earlier this month, you’ve missed them. We’ll keep our fingers crossed for more US dates, yes?

Until then (and hoping they don’t have a repeat of 1987’s “We’re touring, we’re touring, fuck it, we’re breaking up”) here’s The Stems, with their ultra-groovy Tears Me In Two. Enjoy!

“Superstition” – Stevie Wonder

Triple play on this funky friday, y’all. First, Stevie Wonder in the studio in 1973, performing Superstition. Next, Stevie on Sesame Street in the same-ish time period, performing Superstition. And last, but definitely not least, The Man in 1989, with Stevie Ray Vaughan on guitar, and sharing vocals with Stevie Wonder, too.

Oh, yeah, and the song is? You guessed it, Superstition.
